When you obtain a tattoo, you sign a document regarding the services - i.e. a contract.  The contract governs the rights and obligations of the parties.  I would need to see the document in order to determine whether there is a breach of contract claim - i.e. did the contract spell out the tattoo you wanted in detail?  Did the contract waive your right to sue the tattoo company for defective work?  You may also have a lawsuit for simple negligence.  Negligence is established by showing that the company owed you a duty of care to perform/draw the tattoo how you asked for it and the company breached their duty of care by mispelling the tattoo and as a result, you have suffered damages.  I suggest hiring a lawyer to make a claim against the tattoo company as you certain have a good claim.
