Can I sign myself off a lease if all rommates are not present and 1 abandoned?

Question Details: I have 3 roomates on my lease from home properties. We would like to know since she removed all her stuff from the premises if there is any way that the two of us can sign our names legally off the lease, pay our portion and penalty for breaking it, without having it effect ether of our credit?

This happens a lot with students.  If you all signed on the lease, you are all equally responsible for the entire lease payment.  If you cannot work it out with the landlord, you will need to pay your portions and the portion of the abandoning roomate and then go after that roomate in court for their share.  Good luck.
