Can I lose my home?

Question Details: I built my house with my daughters death benefits. I added my sons name on to the deed. He got married, and mortgaged my house, the mortgage company added her name on to my deed. Against our wishes. we told them from the starte that her name was not to be included in any way. my son left his wife. And we didn't find out that she was on it, until she did some digging. the mortgage company went out of business, and we now pay a company that is collecting their payments. they say that she isn't on the mortgage, just the deed.

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  as long as the mortgage is getting paid your should not lose the house.  you are still on the deed as far as i understand your question.  if that is the case you have at least a 50% ownership interest in the home.
