Can I go against a Will if I was only given a dollar?

Question Details:

My father never paid child support or helped in any way. My son (his grandson) and myself have suffered medically with illnesses linked to agent orange. I put myself through college and have significant college debt. Is there any way to go against his Will if he stated in it that he left me $1.00.

The only way that you can contest your father's Will is if you were not mentioned in it. Since it appears that you were mentioned in it and were given a $1.00 you were not a forgotten heir. All you get would be the $1.00.

You need to realize a bequest under a Will or trust is a gift and not an entitlement.
