Can I get off probation early if all fines have paid and community service is completed?

Question Details:

I was supposed to be off in 01/09 but I was not done with my fine. But everything is done now. It is now scheduled to be done 04/10 because of a substance abuse class that was told to me to be 3 months long. Still going though. So in short I was supposed to do 18 months now it has been 28 months. I'm all paid, can I get off early?

The short answer is no.  the purpose of the probabtion is to force you to have time/charges hanging over your head for a fixed period of time.  this forces you to behave for the entire period of the probation.  while the probation only included the classes, part of the probation is as i explained, to ensure that you learn your lesson and not be able to get rid of these charges until probation ends.  However, you ma hire a lawyer to speak to the probation officer about your completetion of the classes and ask whether you may get off early.  the chances of this happening is very slim to none; however, if you have done everything and paid all monies owed pursuant to the court's order, then you may have a good argument.  Good luck!
