In Indiana, under some circumstances, you may be able to have a criminal record expunged, which means the records will be delivered to you or destroyed.
You may be eligible for expungement if:
- You were arrested but charges were not filed or were dropped for lack of probable cause, due to mistaken identity, or because the offense was not committed; or
- Your conviction has been reversed and your case dismissed based on DNA evidence; or
- You have been pardoned; or
- You wish to expunge juvenile records.
What you need to do now is to consult with an attorney in your area and see what they advise.
