Can I beat a criminal tresspass/simple tresspass charge from horseback riding on posted land where I was told we had permission to ride?

Question Details:

I was told by my friend who owns the horses that she had permission to be on the posted land. Our picture was taken from a trail cam where the landowner said we damaged his deer food plots. My face was the only one visible so I was the only one charged. She is willing to say that someone gave her permission to ride there, I believe the man that gave her permission was the landowner's father who was mowing on the property on a previous occasion. I was not ever on this property before. I am unsure whether to fight this or just pay the fine?
