Can I be sewed for takeing customers away from a previous employer even if i was sub-contracted.

Question Details: I was sub-contracted froma pool service company to clean pools and i no longer work for them but customers of that pool company have since left them and came with me. He wants to sew me for any customer i have taken but i did not sign a no compete document with that company and i was sub contracted and did my own taxes.

It appears he has no valid claim. Tell him to walk east till his has floats.

If the company you used to contract for didn't have you sign anything, didn't treat their customer information as confidential, then you're probably in the clear on this.

If you are sued, please hire an attorney to represent you;  you might do that as soon as you get anything in writing, from the company or their lawyer, threatening to sue, and your wisest approach is to have this situation reviewed in detail, to get reliable advice right away.
