Question Details: I have an original document with punched holes, but I did not alter this document. None of the holes are preventing important information from being read. Would this original be admitted in court?
I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. An original document is admissible in court. even if you punched holes in the document, the ink on the page in an original, not a copy. therefore, the document will be admissible. even if it were a copy, you would likely be able to get it in as long as the witness identified the document as a true and accurate copy and you informed the court that the original cannot be located.

Are you a lawyer?
