Can an employer refuse to give you your check?

Question Details: I was in the trucking business and they took out for escrow every month. I waited four months to get the check and when I went to pick it up he refused to give it to me or even show me what deductions he took out is this legal?

For departing employees, final paychecks must be given as follows:

If employee is fired: within six days.

If employee quits: next payday. (Texas Code Ann., Labor § 61.014)
