Can an employer fire you for a misdemeanor that was committed while you were already employed?

Yes.  Arizona is an at-will employment state.  That means an employer can fire you for any reason except a discriminatory one.  Also, you employer can not fire you in retaliation for your refusal to violate a state law.  Other than that, the employer has complete to discretion to fire you, including because you committed a crime.
