Can a person be charged with violating probation if no police report was made?

Question Details:

I have filed a Domestic violence restraining order on someone who is already on probation for violating a previous order of protection that I had. I did not make police reports, am only wanting a new protective order. Will the courts charge him with violating if I proceed with this acton

A motion to revoke probation can be filed by either the District Attorney of the Probation Department.  If either of them find out about the violation of the restraining order they can file a motion and provide notice to the restrained person.
