Can a mortgage holder call and demand early payments be made if the contract is not in default?

there is usually a clause in the mortgage that says that the mortgage holder can deem itself insecure , even if payments are not late, if there is something that makes tehm believe the payments will not keep up, the real estate is being harmed or other reasons.  that is very unusual however
