Landlord / Tenant Law Answers

If a tenant owes money to his or her landlord, there is nothing stopping the landlord from contacting a family member about the money owed by the tenant allegedly without the tenant being present.

However, from a business standpoint, for the landlord to get third parties involved in a rent collection matter unrelated to them is an example of poor business judgment in my opinion.
