The landlord may rent his property while the property is in foreclosure without telling you.  I am not aware of any statute that prohibits this arrangement.  Most of the time, landlords will do this to earn extra income before the house is taken as they know that they can stretch the foreclosure action out 4-9 months.  If you are renting under this situation, you must continue to pay rent.  I presume that you are in a month to month lease, which terminates at the end of each month.  if you fail to pay the rent, you may be evicted from the house.  I suggest that you start looking for a new place to live as the bank is going to be able to evict you once they obtain possesion of the premises.
