Can a landlord charge that my rent is late if the grass is not cut to her liking?
Question Details: I am disabled and I pay someone to cut the grass and she has said that it is not being done well enough. She wants me to hire a service (which is more money than I can afford) to cut grass and wants to charge me if I don't and it is not cut to her liking.

The relationship between you and the landlord is determined by the terms of the lease. If you have no lease, then you are pretty much left at her mercy. If there is a lease, review carefully, especially as it relates to the upkeep of the residence and grounds. Additionally, she may be treading water on the ADA provisions of State and Federal law.
