Can a collection agency leave a summons taped to the front door of my place of employment at 5:30 am?

Obviously, they can do this.  The question is whether that constitutes adequate service of process.  If they have tried to serve you unsuccessfully in the past and the court has given permission to serve yo by posting it on your door at work instead of personal service, it is sufficient. Otherwise, it probably is not valid service.
