Can an auto insurer legally request a surveillance tape from the city to defend against an at-fault claim?
Question Details: The surveillance cameras are generally used for stabbings and theft. Does the inurance company need to get special approval for this? Is this legal to use in court of law?

I am pretty sure the city will not turn it over without a court order or at the very least a subpoena but there is nothing illegal about using it and in all likelihood it will be used.
