California Estate with assets under $100,000. No probate needed. Is there an expedited procedure that is necessary?

Question Details: All of the estate value is in home furnishings, books, and some paintings/sculptures which were created by the deceased as a hobby. The estate is valued at below $100,000, and probate should not ordinarily be required. The home is not part of the estate. What expedited procedure is necessary (if any) to complete the estate if no probate is required? Thank you.

It's going to depend on your local probate court but in general, you will have to wait a specific period of time after death and file a transfer form provided by your local probate court.  You will have to also meet requirements of the CA probate code section 13100-13115.
