Health insurance coverage after termination

Question Details:

How long does your employer have to pay medical insurance after you were fired? I paid every 2 weeks for insurance and was fired on 10/26. They told me that my insurance would run out on 11/01.

They don't need to pay at all. They can offer to, as part of a severance package; or it might be part of your own personal employment contract with them; but there is no legal obligation for the employer to pay.

You have the right to continue your health insurance through COBRA, but you must bear all the costs.
