Basically I want to know the difference between two types of 'personal injury'

Question Details: Hello, on this page describing statutes of limitations there are two types listed, "personal injury" and "injury to personal property"... I have looked on google to no avail: what is the difference, is injury to personal property "breaking someones stuff" and personal injury "hurting somone's body"? My examples are my intuition of the definitions... Thank you for your time and help.

Personal Injury Law Answers

You are correct.  Personal injury is injury to a person which could be either a physical or mental/emotional injury.  For example, if you are injured in an auto accident, that is personal injury.

Injury to personal property is property damage.  If your vehicle is damaged in an auto accident, that is property damage.
