If my husband has no Will, am I protected if house and cars are in his name only?

It would be preferable if your husband had a Will, but if he dies without a Will, as the surviving spouse you will inherit the house and cars. 

Intestate means dying without a Will.  The rules of intestate succession determine inheritance.  When one spouse dies intestate, the surviving spouse inherits the entire estate.
