If you are a nonexempt employee, you are entitled to two (2) 10-minute rest breaks over an 8-hour workday. If you are not authorized or permitted to take these breaks, and you have not chosen to forego or waive these rest periods, you are entitled to one hour of pay for each day you are not able to take them. Please call or email me (213-381-6557 or ari@leichterlawfirm) if you would like to discuss the matter further.
All the best,
