All though I work per diem, can my employer or the third party payer(accountant)hold my paycheck for any reason?

Under the laws of all states in this country an employee is entitled to receive his or her pay check on the posted pay days that his or her employer sets. Custom and practice is that such pay periods are bi-monthly. Your employer is required to give you what you earn on the stated pay day.
