Question: Business - Arkansas

Asked on 10/31/2009
After a repossession of a car and payment made, can the finance company have your car shipped out of state?
After restitution was made the finance company shipped the car out of state to an auction house. Now they are saying that it is not their responsibility to ship it back, I must go out of state to get the car.

I would need to know the dates of the incident.  When was the payment due?  How far behind were you?  When did they reposess the vehicle?  When was it scheduled to be sold?  When did you pay the arrearages?

It would probably be best to go get the car and bring it back.  Sure it is time consuming and would cost some money, but the cost of litigating the issue and any damages you may have would be more expensive than going to get the vehicle, unless out of state means California or some other place that would take several days to drive.
