Question: Auto Accidents - Mississippi

Asked on 11/4/2009
Accident driving borrowed car
I was driving my uncles car while I was visiting. He has full coverage insurance in MS. I am also listed as a driver on my parent's policy in VA. I hit the back of a school bus. No one was injured. The truck is totalled. Whose insurance pays for the truck?

Since your uncle is the registered owner of the vehicle, his insurance would pay for the damage to the bus.  As for the truck, your uncle could file a claim against your insurance since you were driving his truck.
