Question: DUI / DWI Traffic - Michigan

Asked on 10/1/2009

A judge violates a ex parte in sons case for 3rd OUI and a possesion of Tylenol.

My son is being charged with 3rd offense OUI and possession of Tylenol 4. Was late for a hearing and judge gave his public offender until 4:30 to get him there. Was there at 1 and was advised that in the mean time Paynet **** enforcement team came in and talked to the judge and wanted him put back in jail. He wasn't cooperating with them; in other words he didn't rat people out like they wanted.  We were advised that the judge violated a ex parte and the judge was on the bench during the hearing and he admitted to that. My son's bond was upped and he was put in jail. What can we do? Want to fire his attorney and hire a new one.

We have not yet verified this person is an attorney.

Of course you have the right to hire a new attorney of your choosing particularly if your not satisfied with your current representation. I've been doing this type of work for over 20 years and I'd be glad to talk to you about the case. Please call me whenever it's convenient and we can discuss your options. (586) 268-2400
