What is the best way to handle a second offense for shoplifting?
Question Details:
Got caught first offense shoplifting in July this year; I did 25 hours community service and got a "filing" (no probation). Just had second offense 2 days ago. Arresting officers think I'll be fine when I go to court and that filing will turn into probation. Is this true? Should I get a lawyer? I have no other record at all.
