California Battered Women Shelter Program — publishes a fact sheet and other reports on domestic violence in California. According to the state agency:
- Approximately 6% of California women were physically abused by an intimate partner in the last 12 months.
- More than 40% were abused by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
- In 2003, more than 150 women were killed in California by husbands, ex-husbands, boyfriends, ex-boyfriends, partners or former partners.
- California law enforcement received 194,000 domestic violence calls in 2003 of which 106,000 involved weapons, including firearms and knives

| California Family and Domestic Violence Referral Directory — is published by the state Department of Health. Organized by county, each page gives a quick overview of hotlines, shelter referrals, and resources, such as counseling and sexual assault services.
| SafeNetwork: California’s Domestic Violence Resource — lists over 150 agencies that specialize in domestic violence services, including emergency shelter programs, counseling, transitional living, education, prevention, advocacy and health service providers.
| California Partnership to End Domestic Violence — acts as a leader and a catalyst for innovative, long-range plans to end domestic violence. Part of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the state group connects over 100 California agencies and other organizations. The website is oriented to educating agencies, providing training, and working to improve the law.
